Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada begin negotiations

Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) met on Monday, November 17, 2008 in Ottawa to begin negotiations towards a new collective agreement. This collective agreement is negotiated by way of interest-based negotiations. In this process, both parties sit together to discuss their issues and come to mutual solutions. The parties have dates scheduled into the new year. 
The current collective agreement between Canada Post and the Association, signed on January 9, 2006 will expire on March 31, 2009.
