Labour Day – Recognizing the Strength of Working People
On Labour Day, we take time to recognize the generations of workers who fought for fair wages, safer workplaces, reasonable hours, dignity at work, and the right to have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
Those gains did not happen by accident. They were achieved because working people stood together, supported one another, and understood that progress is strongest when it is pursued collectively. APOC is proud to be part of that tradition.
Our members occupy a unique place in Canada Post. They are leaders, supervisors, specialists and professionals who carry significant responsibility every day, while also relying on the strength of their Association to protect their rights, advance their interests and ensure their voices are heard.
Labour Day is also a reminder that representation is not simply about responding when problems arise. It is about maintaining fair collective agreements, improving working conditions, supporting members through difficult situations, promoting respect in the workplace, and continuing to build a stronger future for those who will follow us.
As our workplaces continue to evolve, so too must the work of the Association. APOC remains committed to strong representation, constructive labour relations, and ensuring that the contribution of our members is properly recognized and respected.
To all APOC members, and to workers across Canada, we wish you a safe and meaningful Labour Day.
