TAKE A MOMENT TO OBSERVE THE NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING
April 27, 2020
Source: Canada Post
Audience: All employees
The National Day of Mourning on Tuesday, April 28 is dedicated to remembering Canadians who have lost their lives or suffered injury or illness on the job or due to their work. It is observed in workplaces and communities across the country and in about 100 countries. It is a time to reflect upon and renew our shared commitment to workplace safety.
Tomorrow, Canada Post will observe one minute of silence on all shifts in plants and depots. Across the country, we will lower flags to half-mast at corporate facilities that are open.
We ask all employees to take a quiet moment tomorrow, on their own, to reflect on this important occasion and what it represents and to renew their personal commitment to workplace safety.
