APOC negotiations update for August 1, 2014
Canada Post presented the Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) with a global offer after meeting during the week of July 21. The offer includes a response to the proposals that have been brought forward by the Association as well as narrows down the key changes that the company is seeking in the next collective agreement. APOC has agreed to respond on September 10, 2014. No additional information is available at this time. The discussions and exchanges remain confidential as part of the negotiation process. Both parties are determined to get a deal, and this offer should assist the parties in getting there. The parties have agreed to set aside the weeks of September 7 and 15 to resume talks. APOC has been without a collective agreement since March 31, 2014.
