The Corporation and the Association have held meetings in April and May to discuss a method for standardizing the structure of the Local Areas. A model for the local areas has been discussed and will be utilized to establish a standardized organization.
The Corporation, working in the regions with the Association, will be reviewing the Local Area structure in the coming weeks with the goal of more equally distributing workload in the Local Areas. Note that the Association may be approaching its membership for additional information related to their current reporting structure.
Prior to implementing the proposals discussed and agreed to in the regions, the parties will meet again nationally for final review and approval. All relevant articles of the APOC Collective Agreement will apply when implementing the proposals.
