Joint Communiqué

With the recent announcement of the Five-point Action Plan, Canada Post is re-examining some priorities. As a consequence, the proposed changes to reporting relationships, which were to begin at select locations in January 2014, are being scaled back. In general terms, we will not be proceeding with the proposal to have supervisors report directly to a manager.  

We will continue to optimize and enhance other aspects of the business operations involving depots, retail and local areas located primarily in Nova Scotia and Calgary.  We will share the findings from these changes with all of you in due course. 

This decision follows discussions with the Association of Postal Officials of Canada.
