Progress report: Job Evaluation Review Committee

Canada Post and APOC recognize that employees may wish to request a review of their job classification. The Job Evaluation Review Committee is responsible for determining the proper classification of jobs.

As outlined in Letter # 8 of the new Collective Agreement, Canada Post and the Association of Postal Officials of Canada (APOC) recognize that over the course of the conversion to the new Job Evaluation Plans, employees may wish to initiate a request to review their job classification. The Job Evaluation Review Committee, with representatives from Canada Post and the Association, is responsible for determining the proper classification level of jobs in accordance with the Job Evaluation Plans manual.

To date, both parties have named their respective Committee members and a first meeting took place November 5, 2009. Committee members are currently working to develop the processes and tools needed to manage the appeals process, and will finalize everything during their meetings the week of November 23.

Rest assured that we are committed to providing you with the necessary information and tools as quickly as possible, as we will continue to update you on our progress.
